Snorkelling fun at Kona

Day7-Kona-Title

This day was one of the favorite day of our trip to Hawaii. After a relaxing morning breakfast at the resort, we headed to the City of Refuge towards Puuhonua O Hanaunau National Historic Park. The park had some historic site and overlooked the Honaunau Bay. We saw some very interesting Polynesian culture and various Ki’i (carved wooden images) along with housing of the ancestors who had dwelled their in the past. The locals considered this place sacred and till today, they still believed that the spirit of peace surrounds this park. While we visited this park, we found out that Honaunau Beach which was right across of the park was one of the famous beach for snorkelling. Hubby was super excited. The bay was beautiful and we were all set for our snorkelling expedition.

Aloha from Big Island

BigIsland-day5-title

First morning in Big Island and we woke up to a beautiful view of palm tree and glorious sunrise. Everything looks so beautiful and divine. Hawaii never stopped to amaze us with its beauty. We started our day’s adventure with a short hike to Rainbow Falls followed by Liliuokalani Gardens and then headed to Kona. We saw various beautiful falls and interesting faunas on our way. Big Island was full of greenary but at the same time had a different look with volcanic rocks and remains. The weather was very moist and different from O’ahu. Food was just as delicious and coconut water was still the best :) We were enjoying every bit of our time in the island :)

Northshore O’ahu

Aloha!! It was a beautiful morning in O’ahu and we started out early in the morning with a stroll around Waikiki beach. The mornings were always so pleasant and beautiful in Hawaii. The sun looked magical while the ocean reflected its purest color. It was our 2nd last day in O’ahu and we were visiting to north shore and the Polynesian cultural center. We were both looking forward to experience the Polynesian culture and taste the Ali’s Luau (Polynesian feast). Most importantly, I couldn’t wait to watch some hula dances 😉
