Being cool

As much as I love dressing up, there are just those days when I don’t want to put much effort into what I am wearing and just walk out of the door with something that is comfortable. Button down shirt, jeans and sunglasses.. and I am out of the door!

I love evening walks and most importantly, when I get to walk around the beautiful lake area. We strolled around Lake Calhoun followed by some Thai food later that evening. I love taking walks around Lake Calhoun during summer time; it feels so energizing and walking around the lake/park makes me feel grateful for a wonderful summer. For anyone travelling to MN, make sure that you spend some quality time around the lake; have a drink (or ice-cream) and enjoy the sunset, it is just so beautiful out there.

Here’s the outfit that I wore that evening which is comfortable and effortless. I love wearing oversized shirt with jeans; I find them chic yet not fluently put together. It is light and breezy and perfect for a good hot day. The print on these shirts are really cute and blue being my fav color just adds more details for me. These shades are my current favs and I love how it is so cute and one-off. Also, I am rediscovering these flats that I got last year; the tiny details and studs gives it a different look and is also comfortable to walk around in! I find the combination fair and easy for days when you don’t want to do much! I love getting dressed and spending time getting ready but at the same time I love being lazy and just being cool on some days!
