Unforgettable Sunrise

One of the many memorable moments of our trip was watching the sunrise at Haleakala National Park. The view from the top of the national park was something that I will never forget in my entire life.

The national park was about 1.5 hr of a drive away from Kahului and is a MUST MUST for every Maui visitors. We woke up at about 3-4pm and started our drive towards the peak of the volcano. We got to see some twinkling stars in the dark sky as we drove above the clouds and reached to the top. As you can see in the pictures below, the place was crowded and people were waiting for the most magical sunrise. Temperature and Altitude were another thing one should be aware of while planning for this. It was freezing cold and we were bundled in the blankets that we got from our hotel. I also had some altitude sickness as we reached there so I tried to stay as calm as possible and not use too much of my energy :) The view of the sun coming out from the clouds was miraculous and breathtaking.

I felt like my life was complete as I had just seen one of the most beautiful sunrise with the love of my life by my side.

We spent rest of our day driving around the beautiful Ka’anapali and visited several beaches. Hubby did some snorkeling at Black Rock Beach while I took a nap. He was really excited to swim with the turtles (shown here) and all he wanted to do was snorkel. He enjoyed it way too much :) Later in the evening, we spent a relaxing time at the Westin Maui Resort. The place was pretty fancy and they had amazing food and drinks :) But their pool side sitting area was the best to relax :)

One more beautiful day in Hawaii gone by.

Thank you for making it till here.

Until next time,
