Hot Pink & Gold

title-hot-pink-gold

I had always thought that pink wasn’t my color when it came to picking out dresses…. I usually go for something that is subtle in colors. Of course! I love pink things 😉 but wearing a pink dress was just not me. Recently my sister, Rosheen picked out a pink Salwar Kurta for me and sent it all the way from Nepal. At first, I was very hesitant to wear it but when I tried it on, I fell in love with it. Thanks Sister!! All credit goes to you.

I chose to wear this dress to the morning wedding ceremony of my dear friends Shashank and Ansu. The wedding was in Dallas, TX. I was so excited to be part of their celebration and at the same time to be able to enjoy the warm weather of Texas. It was like 70 degrees and it felt sooo good :) The Kurta had some amazing gold stud details work done with faux crepe lining design and patch border work. I chose to pair it up with minimal accessories. These gold earrings had similar tone to the stone stitches on the dress. I loved how the kurta had some details around the wrist so I didn’t have to wear bangles. The kurta was very comfortable to wear and the color just brought so much of joy in me :) Now I know, I should try to experiment more with unusual colors.
