Bye Bye Oahu, Hello Big Island

It was our last day in O’ahu as we headed towards another magical island. We had some time before we headed to the airport so we went for a quick hike at Manoa Falls. It was a quick 30 mins hike that took us to this gorgeous fall where we walked through amazing rain forest and streams. The forest was out of the world and the fall itself was astonishing. We enjoyed the hike but I am sure our shoes hated it because the trail was so wet and muddy. Then, we headed to the Pearl Harbor and US Arizona Memorial Center. The memorial center was a great experience yet saddening where we learned about various fact of the Japanese attack. We went on a quick boat tour to pay visit to the Arizona Memorial. Gathering all the memories of our day spent in O’ahu, we headed to airport towards our next destination, Big Island. Big Island is the largest island of Hawaii and we were looking forward to create more memories.

On our way to the airport, we stopped by at this local place that was well know for Hawaiian food. Saimin was their speciality and being Pho lovers we gave it a try. It was indeed good! But I still think Pho is better 😉 But anyways, we had some dry noodle which is another famous Hawaiian food and it was served with Katsu so it was really good.

A roughly 45 mins flight took us to Big Island which looked spectacular as we landed. This island seemed to have a lot of greenary compared to O’ahu. We chose to celebrate our first day in BI and anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. It was located right by a pond where we saw fishes jumping even so late at night. We enjoyed some great seafood and amazing cocktails.

We were both so tired that we devoured on that tasty food and went right to bed looking forward to welcome another brighter day ahead of us the next day.
