The Road to Heaven: Hana (Maui)
Ah Maui…. I had always dreamed about visiting Maui. It was one of the place to visit in my bucket list (I was just so happy that I had just crossed off O’ahu from that list 😉 ). This island was just as beautiful as the other islands that we had visited in past few days.. may be more. The blue ocean water sights were back again. Big Island had a lot of greenery but Maui was a combination of water and green. Road to Hana was a terrific drive… It somewhat reminded me of the drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara in Nepal. The road was so narrow and curvy. Google “Road to Hana” and you will know what I am talking about. I was so scared as we started our drive but I knew I was in good hands. Hubby had plenty of experience driving on these kind of road so…. lucky me, I got to sit back and enjoy the lovely view while we drove and take pictures of course <3
This was one of the best place I had ever been to (pictured above and below). I literally sat there for a while enjoying the wonderful creation of nature and being grateful for being able to view such a beauty.
The scenery and viewpoints in Hana were unrealistic. One of the must see was Wai’anapanapa State Park which had an incredible black sand beach. We had so much fun swimming and walking through the lava tubes. It was such an amazing experience. Too bad we didn’t get a chance to capture the pictures inside the lava tube as it was so dark but you can check the video here which has some glimpse of the amazing time we had at the beach. The blow hole were so cool. It is a must see for any of you if you’re ever in Maui, Go there and Thank me later 😉
Looking back at these pictures make me miss this beautiful island so much. I hope that we can go back to Hawaii again. It is already snowing in MN now and looking at this pictures make me miss Hawaii even more
If you made it till here, I appreciate you reading. Few more posts of our trip to Hawaii and then I will be including my day to day random stuff
Stay warm, Mash <3
