Dressing up: Kurta Shalwar
I always get excited to wear traditional outfit. Earlier today, I was heading to celebrate mehendi of my friend who is getting married on Tuesday. All the girls attending had planned on wearing kurta Shalwar so it was cool to have a chance to wear traditional outfit after a long time (see my previous traditional outfit post here). Kurta Shalwar is so much fun to wear.
The effervescent colors of the traditional suit intrigues me and I feel so merry whenever I get to wear them. My sister picked out this outfit for me from Nepal. I love the color of this outfit; Black and purplish blue. Black is my favorite color and black traditional kurta is again so multipurpose. One can wear it in various occasions; for day time or night time events.
I wore this Kurta for the day time event. Therefore, I kept the accessories least. I paired some gold bangles and blue black colored bangles for the jewelry to stay allied with the outfit. The outfit has some really pretty gold details. Hence, I went with some gold earrings and painted my nails red (Can’t go wrong with red nails, right?) For comfort, I went with these studded flats so that I could walk around much when needed.
With makeup, I went a little on board; I went for a very rosy look and coral pinky lips (It’s spring right). I am not quite comfortable with falsies but I decided to add some just for fun. I went for a messy braided hair which is my most worn hair as the weather gets warmer. We had a great time with mouthwatering food and mehendi ofcourse! The bride is beautiful and I am eagerly waiting to celebrate their wedding on Tuesday.
Let me know how you like this!! Feel free to leave me comments or suggestions.
Until next time, stay beautiful!
